Sub Zero Refrigerators - Are They Worth the Money?

I often asked my clients, Sub Zero refrigerators worth the money. My answer is always the same - maybe. Let me explain ...

If you are talking about the longevity of the overall quality, and food preservation, the answer is always full! And if the price tag fits in your budget, it's a no-brainer for me. I own a few years ago, and I can tell, the strawberries are held for two weeks (which was an incredible view of the product class background!), Left a plate of cheese (as experiment) no mold or crust over after a month, as well as open ice cream container was still fresh, after discovering that more than a month and a half later.

Sub Zero says the family can save as much as $ 25 a week food deterioration due to the dual-cooling system. I always thought that was an exaggerated claim, as long as I owned one and was an estimated savings of about $ 10 a week as a bachelor. If a customer want to Costco and buy things like multi pack Romaine lettuce and can not find that this last two heads spoil before the Sub Zero humid space gives you more time to finish the package salad.

The biggest advantage of a dual cooling system, such as Sub Zero has a long life. The average life of a refrigerator is about 10.5 years. Sub Zero average lifespan of 17 years. (Climate is a contributing factor. In the Pacific Northwest where cooler than the southern U.S., refrigerators do not have to work as hard because of the lower average temperature. It is not uncommon to find Sub Zero refrigerators, beyond 20 years here.) The reason for the longer the life, largely, the two compressors. Cooled by a refrigerator, while the other cools the freezer. Most of the other is a refrigerator compressor that works with most all the time. You do not need much imagination to run a dual system.
